Medical Assisting students receive training in the clinical and administrative sides of a medical office. Concentrated courses in pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, and medical laboratory procedures prepare students to begin a career as a medical assistant. International Business College students learn in classrooms designed to simulate a functional medical office, including commonly found equipment.

8 week externship in a medical setting. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Graduates can take the National Certification Examination to become a Certified Medical Assistant.

At the Vet Tech Institute at International Business College, vet techs are trained to work under the supervision of a veterinarian and can perform a variety of important procedures, like taking x-rays, running lab tests, administering vaccines, performing dental work, assisting in surgery and counseling owners on follow-up care. Vet Tech Institute at International Business College, students have access to an on-site kennel , surgical suites, industry standard equipment, and on-staff veterinarians.

The Veterinary Technician program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA).
